| Link multiple computers & internet (LAN): | Whether you have two
or 40 computers we can configure them to work together as a 'Local Area
Network' (LAN). We can also organise running wires or adding wireless connections. This
then allows:
Call to make an appointment for us to visit you and discuss your particular needs. |
| Securely network multiple offices (WAN): | We upgrade each of
your offices
to Commercial Grade Internet Connection. Then we add suitable Routers
and Firewalls and configure them so that, as well as normal internet
connection, each site has a private secure trunk
line via the net between its branches, anywhere in the world.
The secure private trunk is termed a 'Virtual Private Network' (VPN). It allows the local networks at each office to communicate with the networks at your other offices, making one big 'Wide Area Network' (WAN) where all computers in all your offices can share data, and work on the same documents and databases. Data backed up via the WAN provides off-site protection against loss of data due to theft or fire where computers and the backups would otherwise be destroyed. |
| Connect home & laptops to office (WAN): | Once you have a LAN or
WAN it is useful to allow sales staff to access while away from the
office, yet still keep your office network safe from hackers and
competitors.
For key staff, their productivity can be increased by allowing them to work from home by making their home computer part of the office network. Staff can even semi-retire and work from their retirement home elsewhere in the world as though they were in the office. We can make this happen for you. Call us to discuss the many options. |
| Mobile Executive: | This is similar to the above, where we set-up your executives notebook computer to access the net via broadband and/or dial-up wherever they are in Australia or the world. We can even provide them with secure access into parts of your office LAN |
| Managed Email Servers: | In the past as
companies grew beyond 5 staff using email they installed their own mail
server to distribute mail correctly around the office. Mail servers
require a lot of maintenance to keep them free from hackers, spammers
and keep them off black lists. There is a lot of work to keep spam
filtering software up to date and to alter mailboxes as staff change.
This either means employing more expensive admin. staff whose technical
skills are good enough to deal with most of the problems, or use
contract engineers on a regular basis. Easynet does a lot of this type
of work, but there is now a better way, that save money and has less
downtime for email.
Because we are an ISP we have a team of dedicated engineers who maintain the mail server used by our dial in and broadband customers. They are doing upgrades and maintenance every day, keeping it reliable and ensuring the commercial grade spam filtering removes the maximum amount of spam. What we do is set up your mail server and your email addresses, as a subset within our main mail server. This is now possible because of the advent of fast Broadband, allowing your incoming emails stored in mail boxes in our server to download to your individual computers almost as quickly as if the mail server was in your office, but without the need for you to have your own mail server at all. (If you have multiple offices email arrival speed will increase, and the load on your broadband links will decrease) The Easynet email boxes are located at a major internet junction between ISPs in Australia where there are very few outages. So you also do away with the problem of looking unprofessional if your link happens to be down thus causing email failure messages back to the sender. This solution of outsourcing your email server functionality will very signifcantly reduce the costs for this portion of your business. It will also increase reliability and reduce the amount of junk mail that gets to your staff. The stress of mail servers down, being black listed etc is gone. If you have multiple offices and the broadband link to your main office happens to be down, it does not mean other offices cannot collect email as they will still be able to access our mail server. |
